We are seeking an ambitious and highly driven Director of FP&A to lead all financial planning, forecasting and analysis activities across the Group. The role will report to CFO and applicants will preferably be based close to Cambridge or London. This is a newly created and high-profile senior position within the Group finance function at a high growth and recently IPO’d tech company. It presents a unique opportunity to drive and grow the business as it continues to scale at rapid pace, both organically and through acquisitions

 What You’ll Do     

  • Lead the annual Group budget and quarterly reforecasting processes, coordinating inputs from around the Group to produce a consolidated budget and forecast and ensuring timetables are met
  • Lead the fortnightly/weekly revenue forecast process
  • Develop financial models to provide support to strategic initiatives and business cases
  • Monitor KPIs to identify the cause of any unexpected variances and implement any required corrective actions
  • Analyze trends in the Group’s KPIs, identifying drivers and providing insight to management
  • Work closely with Finance Business Partners to present monthly and quarterly financial reports to the business units and central departments, including detailed variance analysis
  • Engage with global stakeholders to understand operating and commercial drivers of financial performance
  • Support senior leadership team and Heads of Departments with data-driven analysis and financial insight
  • Ad-hoc business performance reporting
  • Implement business intelligence and planning tools
  • Develop and continually improve budgeting, forecasting and analysis processes

What You’ll Need

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least 5 years PQE
  • Strong commercial finance / FP&A background
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and financial modelling
  • Ability to understand and model key principles of revenue recognition under IFRS15
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a global matrix organization
  • Ability to interact at C-suite level
