As part of the High Frequency Measurement Center of Excellent (COE) organization, you will be working with engineers around the world to create test and measurement products that delight our customers. You will be part of a development team responsible for the software deliverables needed to control and calibrate signal generators.

As a DevOps engineer, you will focus on working collaboratively with software engineering and IT to deploy and operate software development systems, help automate and streamline operations and processes, build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations, as well as troubleshoot and resolve issues. You will set up the software development environment to enable Agile innovation and team collaboration, assisting with the configuration of tools, servers, IDE and test environment to make the lab usable and turnkey. For our product, you will package the operating system with the software and create software update deployments. You may also work with software engineering as part of a team that creates the software architecture, measurement algorithms, features, and applications.

This position requires access to technology and/or technical data that is subject to U.S. export controls. You must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Government.

As a successful candidate, you will:

• Create, maintain, and execute the product software builds, product disk images, and software updates
• Setup, maintain, and improve CI/CD environment with peer engineers
• Help peer engineers triage tools errors vs code issues
• Communicate with global DevOps teams for tips to successfully maintain and improve the software environment and tools
• Maintain tools Service Level Agreements (SLA), IT Security and Compliance, System Performance, and other stewardship activities (application upgrade, compiler upgrades, infrastructure library changes, licensing software, software packaging and installation, etc)
• Evaluate out-of-the-box vs customized solutions as applicable
• Monitor industry trends for technological evolutions, and leverage appropriate technology
• May design, develop, test and debug software programs

Qualifications

This position requires access to certain goods, software, technology, or technical data subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations. Under these laws and regulations, U.S. persons (which includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees) working for Keysight can access export-controlled items without authorization from the U.S. government. For any individual who is not a U.S. person, Keysight may need authorization from the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Commerce, or other appropriate federal agency before the individual can access export-controlled items. Employment in this position for non-U.S. persons is contingent on Keysight’s ability to obtain any required government authorizations.

Required Skills and Experience

• BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft, Atlassian tool chain, and Agile software development
• Strong analytical skills with the working knowledge of computing components (Networking, memory, CPUs, storage – Disk IOs) and software infrastructure components (system libraries, security software) to troubleshoot various challenges
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows and Linux Operating Systems
• Proficient in InstallShield® or similar software update utilities
• Proficient in scripting
• Experience in C/C++/C#, XML
• Experience with creating VMs, familiarity with Cloud computing
• Proficient in building, testing, and debugging software
• Source code management, defect management and tracking, build management, and test and release management knowledge
• Experience working with cross functional teams located in diverse geographical areas.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment
• Self-starting, requiring minimal supervision
• Ability to lead and motivate team members
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Familiar with Docker, Conan, JFrog
• Knowledge of Object Oriented Design and UML
• Experience with Measurement instrumentation (Sources, Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, etc.)
