What does the job consist?

Soitec business continues to grow across all regions and major customers are increasing SOI, POI and other advanced substrates volume production.  Customer support mission is key to support this growth. In this context and following the internal mobility of the current manager, we are looking for a Field Application Manager.

In this role, you’ll manage a team of more than ten people made of Field Application Engineers, based in Asia, Europe and USA as well as Technicians based in France.

The mission of this team is to be the first point of contact on technical topics by managing the technical communication plan with the customers, collecting and answering technical questions through direct communication with internal Soitec departments (BUs / Quality /Sales /Logistics).

In this function, you’ll have to ensure that the customers have the right level of information whether it’s a crisis situation or a more standard situation.

In addition, to be able to sustain the activity growth, you’ll have to manage the evolution of the team with more focus on early adoption activities. This means that you and your team will assist customers from pre-sales to post-sales by providing technical training and communicating clear product value proposals based on our go to market strategy.

Your role will be to enable and facilitate multi-country technical knowledge diffusion to facilitate quick and accurate information transfer to customers.

The FAE team is also assisting the customers during onsite or remote audits and translates the customer’s technical specifications into the Soitec system to ensure the full alignment with Soitec product and the eCoA file reporting.

As you can see, this job will offer you a lot of interaction both externally and internally.

Requirements & qualifications

  • You have obtained an engineering degree related to semiconductors/electronics and you’ve gained a minimum of 10 years experience in some positions that allow you to understand the semiconductor challenges and global ecosystems.
  • Fluent in English, you are used to working with different cultures and managing technical and business projects.
  • You have ideally a first experience in team management. Your leadership and your strong communication skills will allow you to manage both your external and internal partners.
  • The position can be located in Grenoble (Headquarter of the company), or in Singapore but requires flexibility for frequent travels.
