ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Compliance manager will report to head of tax to assist in the assessment of compliance issues across the tax organization including tax accounting and reporting, data integrity and tax systems. This includes working with the tax team to identify, document and monitor current risks and controls to centralize the compliance for data used for tax purposes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage controls around tax processes and systems.
  • Be the main point of contact for the business and assist on all internal and external audit teams where tax systems inquiry is required.
  • Partner with management, business teams, and/or data team to implement solutions that impact tax.
  • Project manage the SOX control compliance process for tax as well as other tax technology initiatives.
  • Partner with management, business teams, and/or data team to implement solutions that impact tax.
  • Monitor tax systems needs – especially around digitalization of tax

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience

• Ideal background will be a blend of experience in public accounting and with a publicly traded global corporation with experience in SOX control is preferred.

• Strong technical acumen.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail.

• Comfortable with tax software, ERP solution, and Alteryx.

• Expertise in project management, and using solutions to manage large projects

EDUCATION

• An undergraduate degree is required. CPA or CA certification is required, active license is preferred.
