What does the job consist of?

Within the mobile & Communication Division, as the General Manager of the Connect-SOI Business Unit, you will strategically position the BU to build and support businesses across various markets and regions and, therefore, have a proven track record of creativity, leadership and quantitative reasoning.

You’ll be responsible for generation and conversion of new opportunities into concrete, sustainable business understanding and differentiating, long-term market demands and short-term trends. 

You understand the importance of building synergies across the broader organization in order to achieve the Profit & Loss (P&L) targets set by the Division Manager on a five-year business plan horizon. 

To develop your worldwide Customer funnel, to drive the Connect-SOI product Roadmap and to achieve the performance targets for the BU, you will rely on both your own team (around 10 employees with specific skills in design, product and program management, business operation manager), as well as the support of internal resources within the Division (Strategic Marketing and Business development) and across the Organization (Innovation, Engineering, Finance, Central Planning, etc…)

As Business Unit Director, you will lead your organization by-example, communicate your ideas effectively and forge trustworthy relationships within your segment market.

Requirements & qualifications

  • Engineering degree/PHD in Material Science, Electrical engineering / physics is desired. You have at least 15 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, a strong knowledge of SOI products, P&L and management skills. 
  • Your previous experiences allow you to synthesize market-level requirements into product-level specifications. You’re also used to working on different time horizons: short term up to 5-year business plan.
  • You’ve an experience in business development or sales management that you’ve already demonstrated by negotiating commercial deal terms.
  • You’re recognized by your leadership and your ability to develop trustworthy long-term partnerships.
  • You are proficient in understanding mechanics of the semiconductor value-chain, as well as R&D, industrialization and manufacturing environments.
  • You’ve already an experience in managing (or contributing to) Profit & Loss or cash flow statements.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory and multicultural organizational leadership is desired.
