Director, Technical Marketing
Responsibilities:
• Engage with customer technical teams and decision makers to understand their ASIC/custom SOC requirements from specification, architecture to software
• Develop compelling technical proposals working closely with SEMIFIVE HQ counterparts
• Drive and own detailed customer project schedules with Project Management Office (PMO) and Engineering Management including driving allocation of internal and external partner resources
• Identify and effectively communicate any risks and support required preventing missed deliverables on commitments
• Lead technical discussions with customers including driving resolutions of issues
• Collaborate with Marketing and Engineering on required technical collaterals for a given project or target market
• Support technical pre-sales collateral for Sales & Business Development team
• Influence SEMIFIVE’s solution roadmap aligning with market/application trends
• Understand ASIC competitive landscape and market/application trends and drive necessary improvements with R&D and Strategy teams
• Be SEMIFIVE US’ local technical expert including being the spokesperson and content contributor at key industry events and publications (eg white papers, application notes etc)
Qualifications:
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant technical experience in Systems level design, Application engineering with strong ASIC design background with hands-on experience
• Knowledgeable in ASIC specifications, verification, implementation, physical design, test and debug, as well as custom SOC/ASIC overall development cycle
• Experience in leading custom silicon projects from concept to production
• Project Planning, Coordination and Program Management experience for multiple ASIC and design projects with large engineering teams
• Possess strong analytical mindset and able to independently make clear technical decisions using qualitative and quantitative data
• Proficient in pre-sales and technical marketing with strong ability of engaging with customers around technical value proposition discussions
• Solid competitive landscape sensing abilities with deep appreciation of market and application trends
• Able to work effectively and independently in a fast paced, dynamic, and results-oriented environment
• Experience working with a semiconductor Foundry on advanced process technologies is a strong plus
• Team player with cross-functional work experience in a global company as well as broad exposure to Foundry and Design Ecosystem partners
• Adept understanding of latest industry trends, key players and driving factors for broader custom silicon adoption.
