Applications Engineer – Antenna Packaging

Job Summary:

Our client in Dearborn, MI is looking for an Applications Engineer General. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do:

• Multimedia Antenna / Reception Packaging Engineer Responsibilities.
• Component Packaging for AM/FM, FM Diversity, DAB, GPS/GLONASS, Satellite Radio, Cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth and Vehicle to Vehicle antennas on 2023 + programs.
• Meet program milestones: commercial kickoff, subsystem compatibility, quality & reliability documentation, component & vehicle DV, Appearance Approval and PV, Launch support.
• Work cross functionally with roof, headliner, spoiler, mirror, glass, EDS and other teams to package both low and high frequency catalog antennas.
• Current model support for antennas: Support Warranty & Customer Satisfaction Targets.

Basics:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience with Automotive Component D&R.

Preferred:

• MS Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Packaging knowledge of AM/FM, DAB, satellite radio, cellular and/or GPS and front and rear CV2x transmission and reception theory.
• Strong interpersonal/team participation skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• 2+ years of experience with Radio Frequency (RF) receiver/tuner or antenna system designs.
