Applications Engineer
APPLICATION ENGINEER / SOLUTION ARCHITECT
This position is primarily responsible for supporting the IC Manage software.
Specific responsibilities include:
Presales customer engagements—customized demonstrations, evaluation support
- Customer deployment support – collaborating to develop and release Python-based automation frameworks
- Post sales support to resolve product issues or improve usage with new features, end user requirements
- Write and maintain scripts for customer silicon design flows and internal usage (Python)
- Guide internal IC Manage R&D team development to ensure customer user experience requirements are met
- Travel – 20-30%
Requirements:
- Linux experience – basic bash / csh scripting
- 2+ years as either as a IC development or CAD support engineer in an EDA or silicon development team
- Good understanding of IC design workflows, including IP development, releases and tapeout processes
- Experience in 1 or more of the following areas
- Digital implementation flows (Synthesis, Place and Route)
- Verification (emphasis on automation of creating, running, analyzing complex verification flows)
- Cadence Virtuoso Analog development experience
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers via email, phone, and in-person visits
- Working knowledge of Python and ability to create new Python applications, debug existing Python applications
