Reporting to the R&D Verification Engineering Manager, the R&D Verification Engineer performs software testing to ensure that developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

Designs, documents, and applies customized testing procedures to perform unit, integration, performance, functionality, and acceptance testing of products under development on all supported hardware platforms.
Investigates, prioritizes, and assigns software defect reports and enhancement requests. Understands and reproduces product defects, and works with developers to determine the best resolution.
Tracks and reports metrics measuring the quality and release status of software products under development.
Uses and develops scripts and other automated testing tools.
Communicates with software developers and application engineers to resolve moderately complex product issues.
Approves product releases from development when feature specifications and quality standards are reached.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical field, or a Bachelor’s degree plus minimum three years technical experience in engineering, software testing or development.
Organization and attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Technical knowledge of engineering and physics principles.
Working knowledge of software testing methodologies and skills in project planning and implementation.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
Familiarity with EDA/CAE software as well as programming skills desirable.
