Job Summary:

Altair is seeking a Software Development Intern to support our AcuSolve product. AcuSolve is Altair’s class leading general purpose Computational Fluid Dynamics solver based on the Galerkin/Least Squares Finite Element Method.  The AcuSolve Intern will support the Altair AcuSolve Software Development team in the creation and simulation of test models and documentation in the area of Computational Fluid Dynamics. This individual will assist with building models, preparing models for simulation, running analyses, and documenting steps.  They will work alongside members of the product development team and learn valuable skills in the area of fluids and thermal analysis.

What You Will Do:

• Assist in the development of Altair AcuSolve test cases and supporting documentation
• Run flow and thermal simulations
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to verify test cases

What You Will Need:

Basics:

• Spring 2023 availability.
• Junior or Senior standing.
• Pursuing an Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering bachelor degree.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and analytic skills.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred:

• Strong CAD skills.
• Experience using HyperWorks software.
