As a software tester, you will help our development team validate new advanced features of our structural vibration solver, and help evaluate how well the product meets customer needs in terms of functionality, accuracy, and functionality. results, workflow, performance and ease of use.

This is an intern position for a period of 6 months within the ANSYS offices located in Villeurbanne. It will start in September 2024.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform software product testing to verify new MAPDL features developed in the current release.
    • Analyze needs and develop tests adapted to new functionalities in the appropriate environment.
    • Program and validate references in Matlab.
    • Examine possible causes of problems, classify defects, and retest corrected defects.
    • Update and modify existing tests as necessary.
    • Specify and write test cases.
    • Perform functional, application, regression and performance testing in manual and automated testing environments.
    • Perform HPC testing on Windows and Linux systems and clusters using various MPI software and interconnections with ANSYS parallel shared memory (SMP) or distributed memory.
    • Carry out a bibliographic search to identify possible references.
    • Carry out a Research and Development action with a view to establishing new references.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursue an engineering degree (or master’s equivalent)
  • Have experience in one or more digital simulation tools.
  • Have a thorough understanding of structural analysis with the finite element method.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with ANSYS software, including ANSYS APDL in Mechanics.
  • Experience in nonlinear vibration analysis
