8 Big Comments By Intel’s CEOs On Its AI, PC, Data Center And Foundry Efforts

She is the CEO of Intel Products. It is her responsibility to report the market conditions as they are. Notably, since Qualcomm launched X-Elite, Qualcomm has repeatedly thrown shade at Intel. Intel Foundry will operate as a company with its own governance and will be a subsidiary of Intel Group. Customers choose Intel Foundry for risk mitigation, cost considerations, and a variety of other factors. I don’t think what you mentioned is related to their concerns.
No it isn't. If I want reports on market conditions, I'll go to someone independent (or closer to being so). There are plenty of people doing this who I can trust more than an Intel co-CEO.

And spreading FUD/slinging mud isn't a good look. It's probably been part of the Intel culture, but this is a time when they need to rebuild trust and respect.

She should be talking about how great her own products are (and making them even better). Period.

When you start talking about your competitors, you're doing free advertising for them and validating them. She actually admits that ARM PCs have traction if you read the transcript.

She acknowledged the ARM threat, unlike PG. What is the actual situation? Is ARM a threat to x86 (for both Intel and AMD)? She acknowledges it and stated that Intel will continue to pursue power efficiency to remain competitive.

I think her answer is perfectly alright, as Qualcomm repeatedly threw shade at Intel, and she needed to set the record straight. Any company would adopt a similar approach, including TSMC. During his book launch, Morris Chang criticized Intel's strategy and PG. On that day, Intel's share price experienced a significant decline. It’s worth noting that Intel is one of TSMC's largest clients.

From Gemini:
Qualcomm's Snapdragon X laptops have a limited market share, with only 720,000 units shipped in the third quarter of 2024. This represents less than 0.8% of the total laptop market, and fewer than one in every 125 laptops sold.

Intel had a cheerleader who spread positive vibes. the result was one of the worst business performances compared to peers in history.

Let see if honesty and realism works better.

A quote (paraphrased) I heard a lot in the last 2 weeks : " When the CEO says its going to be great, but the the data doesn't, what are you supposed to do?"

The motto from one "old" Taiwan Electronics company - "Create Profits and Share with Customers"
It is not about keeping relationship in this case. It is about being honest to end customers. She is the product CEO and clear communication is part of her job requirements.
