Description:  Spectre and MATLAB/Simulink co-simulation provides the co-simulation using the Cadence Spectre simulator and the MATLAB/Simulink. This session demonstrates how to set up and use a co-simulation link between the MATLAB/Simulink system-level simulation environment and Cadence Spectre circuit simulator. Co-simulation helps to detect the concept errors early, detect any design flaws before tapeout, and quickly correct issues and re-simulate. With the co-simulation, system designers can create low-level models of critical analog blocks and use these models one at a time to analyze the performance impact of individual blocks on the system-level simulation.

The Virtuoso ADE MATLAB integration exposes the circuit simulation data to MATLAB. Waveforms are accessible for creating circuit performance measurement functions in MATLAB. Measurements overs sweep, corners, or Monte Carlo analysis are possible. The result data can easily be queried and sliced using the high-level MATLAB language.
