Student Intern – FEKO – Electromagnetic Solutions

Job Summary:

Functional Area: High Frequency EM Simulations, EMI/EMC, RF, Antennas, Radars

• Intern is responsible for assisting the core FEKO team on various assignments of technical demonstration, projects, training, installation, and product support.
• Assist with activities which may include one of more of the following:
• The intern is responsible for closely working with the Altair’s core electromagnetics and electronics team on various assignments of technical demonstrations, on-site and off-site projects, training, and product support on Altair’s High Frequency EM tools FEKO, WinProp and WRAP.

Specific responsibilities include:

• M. Tech majorly in RF & Microwave Engineering, Communication Engineering
• Strong technical skills including understanding of software principles on antenna design, placement, RCS, EMI, EMC
• Deep understanding on the principals of computational electromagnetics
• Knowledge of EM solving techniques like MoM, FDTD, FEM, GO, PO
• Working knowledge of any of RF & EM simulations tools such as FEKO, HFSS, CST etc.

Specific Requirements:

• Deep understanding of the principals of Computational Electromagnetics, Antenna Designs and placements, EMI/EMC, Microwave structures, radars and radomes, etc.
• Knowledge of EM solving techniques like MoM, FDTD, FEM, GO, PO
• Working knowledge of any of RF & EM simulations tools such as FEKO, HFSS, CST, etc.
• Working knowledge of EM for printed circuit boards, including SI/PI
