Data Engineer General

Job Summary:

Our client in Dearborn, MI is looking for a Data Engineer General. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do:

The Data Quality Engineer-Analyst will join the Data Factory team with a focus on measuring and improving the overall data quality of our client’s enterprise data assets across the following dimensions: Completeness, Timeliness, Validity, Accuracy, Consistency, and Uniqueness.

In this role, the candidate is expected to perform ‘hands-on’ data discovery and analysis. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for data as well as a self-motivated and curious mindset to this role.

Essential responsibilities will include:

• Building, maintaining, and troubleshooting issues with data pipelines in support of our data quality tools.
• Investigating data quality issues with business teams and root cause investigation.
• Developing custom solutions to address specific data quality requests from our business partners.

Basics:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Advanced to Expert Level SQL.
• Intermediate level Python.
• Ability to clearly communicate data concepts and technical issues to lay audiences.
• 5 years working in data or analytics field.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics or Data Management.
• SPARK.
• Google Cloud Platform (esp. Big Query and DataProc).
• Project Management.
• Consulting experience.
