Alphawave Semi is seeking for a Sr. NPI Planning and Procurement Manager within its Silicon Operations organization who will partner with ASIC program management, product engineering, test engineering, and design engineering teams to drive excellence into our NPI and procurement processes. As a Sr. NPI Planning and Procurement Manager at Alphawave Semi, you will manage planning and manufacturing execution support of new products from an early plan phase through production release as well as lead procurement function by working with both direct and indirect materials suppliers. Your primary goals are (1) to align stakeholders to an NPI plan and closely monitor timely execution to meet internal and external customer sampling requirements, (2) develop procurement strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and drive cost savings activities.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with ASIC program management, product engineering, and test engineering teams to collect NPI requirement and demand then document it.
- Validate accuracy of manufacturing flow and product BOM with engineering and operations teams.
- Generate an accurate NPI supply planning by working with suppliers by using yields, cycle time, site utilization, capacity constraints, etc.
- Employ a system solution to produce a build plan that meets the business need.
- Confirm capacity reservation and purchase direct and indirect materials to support NPI needs.
- Bring awareness of supply shortages and capacity constraints to management and stakeholders and work to resolve supply gaps.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies that aligns with business stakeholders.
- Manage RFI/RFQ/RFP processes and build partnership with key suppliers.
- Execute all areas of supplier management including market research and negotiations to drive down the total cost of ownership.
- Implement and drive cost savings objectives.
- Lead the business review process and monitor supplier improvement plans.
- Establish policies, procedures, and controls to ensure effective procurement implementation.
What you’ll need:
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience managing procurement activities.
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing.
- Experience leading process improvements.
