Dan is joined by Dr. Andreas Kuehlmann, Executive Chairman and CEO at Cycuity. He has spent his career across the fields of semiconductor design, software development, and cybersecurity. Prior to joining Cycuity, he helped build a market-leading software security business as head of engineering at Coverity which was acquired by Synopsys. He also worked at IBM Research and Cadence Design Systems, where he made influential contributions to hardware verification. Andreas also served as an adjunct professor at UC Berkeley’s Department of Engineering and Computer Science for 14 years.
Dan explores the growing and maturing field of hardware security with Andreas, who provides relevant analogies of how the software security sector has developed and what will likely occur in hardware security. Andreas describes the types of security checks and enhancements needed for chip hardware and suggests ways for organizations to begin modifying workflows to address the coming requirements.
