The EA Business Unit in Wendell, North Carolina, which is its U.S. headquarters, focuses on electric-vehicle charging, photovoltaic inverters, medium-voltage power distribution equipment including packaging and services, and solutions, including automation. Additionally, assembly of electric-vehicle chargers, low-voltage motor control centers, and retrofit and replacement circuit breakers occurs at the facility.
We are looking for a Warehouse Manager. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.
Reporting to the Plant Logistics Manager, the Materials Manager will lead the warehouse, receiving, and inventory control activities at the Siemens plant in Wendell, NC.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Ensure compliance with shipping processes for domestic and international shipment
- Maintains department staff job results by training, measuring, monitoring, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
- Ensure good condition of facility/equipment through regular audit and implementation of preventative maintenance protocols
- Respond timely and professionally to customer complaints and inquiries
- Conducts short and mid-term capacity planning to ensure labor and equipment resources are balanced with demand
- Ensures shipping staffing needs through recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Monitor department workflow indicators and respond to exceptions
- Troubleshooting complex inventory and departmental errors. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Guide and manage the process of material flow within the facility to internal customers
- Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient workflow and positive working relationships among teams
- Conduct training for employees on all aspects of job performance including safety, quality, business processes, and HR policies
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related discipline
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
- Experience in areas such as Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or other related manufacturing functions
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with warehouse management systems
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel
- Experience with operating and maintaining a variety of warehouse material handling equipment
- Experience with warehouse scanning equipment and applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP WM module
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CPIM, CSCP).
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

- The pay range for this position is $89,670 – $153,720, and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
