Purpose of role
To lead the strategic and operational direction of the engineering function, ensuring excellence in execution, innovation, and talent development. This role supports business growth through technical leadership, resource optimization, and alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Drive engineering estimation and support pre-sales activities in collaboration with business development.
- Partner with Sales to advocate for team capabilities and win new business.
- Making informed tactical decisions grounded in engineering expertise.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and accountability.
- Oversee talent acquisition, development, and performance management across engineering teams.
- Monitor and integrate emerging technology trends to maintain industry competitiveness.
- Proactively stay ahead of emerging engineering and technology trends.
- Manage resource loading, team capacity, and functional budget.
- Drive performance management processes across engineering teams.
- Align individual aspirations with organizational goals.
- Continuously research industry developments and innovations.
- Integrate cutting-edge best practices into engineering processes.
- Shape and implement workforce planning strategies to optimize team capacity and utilization.

- A relevant Engineering degree.

- Experience of presenting “technical white papers.”
- Tape out experience on multiple technologies 5m, 7nm, 12nm, 28nm
- Experience and understanding of Concepts in Synthesis, Floor planning, Placement, CTS, Routing, STA
- Good understanding and implementation of process.
- Experience and understanding of Concepts in Full Chip implementation like Synthesis, Foreplaning, Placement, CTS, Routing, STA, sign-off and tape out checks.
Desirable
Technical Skills
Possesses a broad cross disciplinary knowledge but with the ability to apply advanced knowledge of a singie sub-function OR knowledge of mutipie sub-functions.
