Electrical Controls Technician

Shift: Monday to Saturday 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
Job Summary:
Provide daily electrical control support, assistance and troubleshooting in all Samtec production areas, have very strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during daily operations in production floor, assist in the development of new electrical projects, capable to work under pressure, electrical technician will be able to develop his job as a team member as well as a single player. Innovator, capable and confident in coming up with solutions to any challenge within their field and able to take quick actions in order to guarantee business continuity.
Essential Functions:
- Utilize ACS to control daily tickets
- Debug and troubleshoot of Electrical Control systems.
- Download and debug various controller software programs.
- Modify programs for automation equipment.
- Keep up to date software revisions and machines documentation.
- Electrical support for all different processes in production.
- Follow up Electrical projects, upgrades, etc.
- Collaborate on electrical projects, upgrades, etc.
- Collaborate on panel building projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in similar positions.
- Mid-Advanced English.
- At least 1 year of experience working with:
- 3 Phase networks.
- VFDs.
- Ladders Programing.
- Servo drives.
- PLC’s.
Intermediate knowledge of:
- Pneumatic circuits.
- Sensor (inductive, capacitive, analog, digital, etc).
- Temperature control systems.
Basic knowledge of:
- Communication protocols.
- Vision Systems.
Preferred Education:
- Electrical, Electromechanics or Electronic Degree Diploma or related field and Electrical Control background.
