Purpose of role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Document Controller with experience in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems to join our fast-paced electronics manufacturing team. You will play a critical role in managing, organizing, and maintaining company documentation to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain controlled documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Maintain version control, distribution, and retrieval systems for technical documents, specifications, drawings, quality records, and procedural manuals.
- Ensure timely updates and revisions of documents in collaboration with engineering, production, and quality teams.
- Monitor document control practices to ensure compliance with company policies and ISO 9001 QMS.
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits; assist in audit coordination and close-out of corrective actions.
- Train and support staff on document control systems and procedures.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure proper document handover during product lifecycle phases (design, production, maintenance).
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the document control system and quality management processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience (2–5 years) in a document control role within an electronics or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and document control best practices.
- Proficient in document management systems (DMS), version control tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation in electronics manufacturing is desirable.
- Sharepoint familiarity and skills an advantage.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Handles sensitive documents and proprietary information with integrity.

- Understands the importance of document security and access control.
- Adheres strictly to data protection and compliance policies (e.g., NDAs, IP security)
- Communicates information clearly through structured reports and communication channels.
- Confidently participates in meetings, audits, and cross-functional discussions conducted in English.
- Presents audit trails and revision histories with accuracy and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic quality management systems.
- Knowledge of IPC standards or electronics industry regulations is a plus.
- Certification in Document Control or ISO 9001 (e.g., IRCA, CQI) is advantageous.
