ASIC/FPGA Design Engineer

To meet the requirements from customers being at the forefront of new technologies, we are looking for a motivated and skilled colleague to fill a role as an experienced FPGA/ASIC Designer with an interest of contribute to the development of our Ethernet portfolio targeting automotive, industrial and aerospace networks on one side and data centre connectivity on the other. Our solutions include IP cores, software, firmware, and evaluation boards.

Position Content & Responsibilities

As an ASIC/FPGA Design Engineer you will be a contributor to the design and implementation of new digital building blocks and customization of existing ones. This could be Ethernet switching functionalities or new designs in the form of PCS and MAC building blocks for high bandwidth solutions as examples. You will be working closely with the rest of the Comcores team to ensure alignment with existing developments within the area as well as customers globally. When the products are productized, you will be supporting customers to assure seamless integration in their projects.

Main Responsibilities

• Participate in the establishment of design specifications for new products
• Implementation and simple verification of designs in Verilog/SystemVerilog
• Documentation of your work for both internal and external purposes
• Supporting our verification team in the thorough simulation and HW testing of our products
• Assists customers in integration and usage of the products

Your Background

• You are experienced in VHDL, Verilog or System Verilog development with a preference for the latter.
• Knowledge of the basic ASIC/FPGA development flow
• Hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s engineering degree
• Personally, you are focused, systematic, solution-oriented and you manage to transform your skills into action.
• You feel motivated by being the best within your field and like to work with the newest technologies.
• Written and spoken English at a high level
