They had visa waivers prohibiting employment, yet they were at a factory obviously being employed there. Pretty open and shut case there.
This is pretty serious for Hyundai. I think Samsung, TSMC, NXP, ASML and all the other foreign semi firms with operations in the US would be smarter than this.

FWIW, It sounds like they were all hired via a subcontractor; I've read stories of farmers and other business owners saying it was basically impossible to verify citizenship / work visa's in some situations for labor. Of course I don't think that de-obligates them legally.
