INTEL is the first official purchase for 20 US$/share, expected number of shares (to be) bought, see below:
Brassmonke:
This whole saga has been quite interesting.
The money that is going to intel was what was supposed to go to them under the Biden Administration. Current funding is $5.7 from remaining Chips Act Allocation, $3.2 Billion from the Secure Enclave Program which was the DOD funding that was counted towards the initial funding pledged to Intel under original Chips Act allocations. They also counted the $2.2 Billion already paid in. What i think many folks are not realizing is that this isn't new money going towards Intel. This is funding that the government had allocated towards Intel which had strings attached.
I don't think the purchase agreement is out yet but its meant to be filed by tomorrow. I believe I saw that registration statement will be filed with SEC by Sept 5t. However, the details are not just 433.323 million shares issued. They will also issue warrants representing an additional 240.5 million shares at $20. Hence the full dilution to existing shareholders is approximately 15%.
The other issue that I see for Intel is just how much of their business is outside of the US. Will government ownership create any new problems in the ability to conduct sales with non US based companies?
