Staff Application Engineer – Post Silicon Validation

As an Alphawave Semi Application Engineer, you will work in the post-silicon validation team to validate collaterals to customers designing their SoC with our IPs. You will work with the customers and support their integration/validation.

What You’ll Do:

• Be part of the IP CR&D team to work with Post-Silicon Validation teams to qualify Alphawave IPs. You will be involved in the post-silicon validation of our in-house test chips.
• Promote technical communication to customers from kick-off to silicon bring-up.
• Familiarity with High speed, Signal integrity and Power integrity
• Diagnose, debug, and resolve customers’ issues during integration, simulation, implementation and silicon bring-up.
• Lead system verilog RTL integration of Ethernet subsystem with different validation soft IPs for exercising several types of ethernet/PHY protocol payloads and performing soft IP functional validation.
• Knowledge on FPGA front-end design flow (Compilation, Synthesis, Place & route, Static timing analysis/CDC, design constraints
• Occasional travel may be required.
• You will be reporting to the Director of Application Engineer.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 10+ Years of experience in Post silicon validation.
• Hands-on experience with bench test equipment like Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers, and Vector Network analyzers (VNA).
• Experience in Functional Testing and ATE debug.
• Experience working in IP Validation in one of the interfaces like USB, PCIe, Serdes, and UCIe
• Experience working on automation languages such as Python/TCL
• Collaborate with Design, Application, and Marketing teams and understand the data sheet, product definition, architecture block diagram, and customer needs.
• Develop ties with teams, leading to the quick resolution during silicon bring-up.
