Our group is responsible for developing Linux drivers and technologies for Intel’s Graphics/Compute products, as well as GPU software stack integration and validation. We commit to high-quality code to drive open-source software reliability, accessibility, security, and performance.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage a team of highly skilled kernel developers and individual contributors
  • Provide technical mentorship and career development guidance to team members
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that promotes excellence in open-source development
  • Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and support professional growth

Technical Leadership:

  • Drive technical strategy and roadmap for open-source KMD/DRM development initiatives
  • Guide testing and validation strategies for memory management modules for Intel’s GPUs, networking stack to support multi-GPU communication
  • Lead pre- and post-silicon qualification efforts for Intel’s GPU/HW products
  • Review and approve technical designs and architectural decisions

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership on project planning and execution
  • Manage relationships with open-source community stakeholders and maintainers
  • Coordinate with cross-site organizations to ensure effective communication

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute team objectives aligned with organizational goals
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverable commitments
  • Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks
  • Drive continuous improvement in development processes and methodologies

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electronics/Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • 15+ years of experience in large-scale software product development
  • 5+ years of proven people management experience leading technical teams
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in C programming and Linux kernel development

Technical Expertise

  • Deep understanding of Ultra Accelerator Link (UALink) open specification for die-to-die interconnect and serial bus architecture
  • Deep expertise in DRM/KMD driver development
  • Knowledge of UALink’s role in enabling high-bandwidth, low-latency connections between AI processing units
  • 6+ years of experience developing DRM/KMD drivers for Linux with GPU, multi-die, and scale-out systems
  • Strong presence and contributions in the open-source community with a demonstrated track record of upstream contributions
  • Experience with GPU architecture and graphics/compute technologies

Leadership Skills

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing technical teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and executive audiences
  • Experience managing distributed/cross-geo teams
  • Ability to balance technical depth with management responsibilities

Additional Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
  • Ability to make strategic technical decisions and drive consensus across teams
