Within the Wireless Internet of Things Business Unit (WIoT BU), we are offering you a unique opportunity to shape the future of connected devices. Our advanced wireless technologies, including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi UWB, and 5G Cellular IoT, are integrated into over a Billion devices annually.

About the Role:

In this role, you will join the Signal Processing Team, focusing on research and development of algorithms for the next generation Wi-Fi technology. In Ceva we develop state of the art Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 8 transceivers with the most advanced signal processing and communication technologies such as: MIMO-OFDMA and MIMO-MU, Beamforming, Sensing, Ranging, Localization and other.

Responsibilities:

You will work in an agile team, responsible for providing signal processing algorithm solutions: starting from an abstract idea through detailed fixed-point link simulation. You will cooperate closely with the implementation, verification and lab validation teams to create together a high-performance Wi-Fi transceiver. Your key responsibilities will be:

Algorithms specification for transceiver synchronization and demodulation including AGC, time and frequency synchronization, channel estimation, clock and frequency offset compensation, equalization/MIMO detection, channel decoding, …

  • Algorithm performance analysis by link simulations
  • Fixed-point specifications for RTL implementations
  • Bit and cycle accurate modelling
  • Support RTL Verification and Lab Validation
  • Keep in touch with the latest developments in the standards
  • Application of patents on the most distinguished ideas

Requirements

  • PhD or Engineer in Electrical Engineering with knowledge in Signal Processing
  • Strong background in Algorithms design for Digital Communications
  • Experienced in Matlab
  • Experienced in link-level simulation including fixed-point specification and bit-accurate modelling
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Flexibility and innovative thinking

Advantages:

  • Experience in WLAN IEEE 802.11, Bluetooth, 802.15.4, or other relevant wireless communication standards
  • Experience in Signal Processing for design of MIMO OFDM systems – is highly desired
