Responsibilities
R&D Engineer – RF/Analog Hardware Design
Your Role: Engineer the Extraordinary
As an R&D Hardware Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of product innovation—designing, developing, and validating high-performance RF and analog hardware. You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional team of experts in FPGA, firmware, mechanical design, and manufacturing to bring visionary ideas to life. You will play a vital role in our product development team, which focuses on designing, developing, and testing RF and microwave test equipment.
We seek a self-motivated engineer who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced development environment. You will be responsible for designing and simulating analog and RF hardware designs. The ideal candidate is equally proficient in design and characterization in a hands-on environment.
What You’ll Do
- Architect and simulate advanced analog and RF circuits for signal sources
- Troubleshooting the hardware when it arrives
- Lead component selection and schematic design with precision and creativity
- Drive PCB/PCA layout and design, ensuring optimal performance
- Perform hands-on electrical characterization and debugging using state-of-the-art tools
- Create clear, impactful technical documentation
- Mentor and inspire early-career engineers, shaping the next generation of talent
Qualifications
- BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in RF/analog hardware design and product development.
- Deep understanding of circuit theory, transmission line theory, and RF routing.
- Experience with high RF output power designs and CAD/CAE tools (e.g., Mentor Graphics).
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for instrument control and data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Passion for learning and adapting to new technologies.
- Familiarity with lab equipment like spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators.
