Seoul's Defense Ministry warned Sunday that North Korea will "see the end of its regime" if it harms South Koreans as the two sides exchanged bellicose rhetoric over the alleged drone incursion above Pyongyang.
North Korea's Kim Yo-jong, the powerful sister of leader Kim Jong-un, accused South Korea of directly committing a provocation by sending drones to drop propaganda leaflets over Pyongyang, thus infringing on North Korean sovereignty, in a late-night press statement Saturday.
“A situation of grave military tension on the brink of war is being created due to South Korea’s major provocative act of violating the sovereignty of Pyongyang, our capital,” the KCNA report said.
North Korea ordered artillery corps near the border with South Korea to fully prepare to shoot, the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported late Sunday.

How does memory market going to be affected if the war really started? Is there any resilience for semiconductor memory market? Does Nvidia have sufficient volume for the next 12 months?

A war in Korea would cripple the semiconductor industry. I think 70% of the DRAM/NAND is from South Korea. Hopefully the US Government is working closely with Micron. I wonder if Russia and China would help North Korea in case of war? Deja vu of the previous Korean conflict. My father served in the Air Force during that war.
China is well positioned in the drivers seat with all their investments and proximity to Taiwan, Japan, Korea.
With a Navy that anytime can blockade Taiwan, of course with huge economic implications to itself and the world but they are more in the drivers seat than POTUS
If Pyongyang will attack, it will do so on the order of its sponsors. Any attack by Pyongyang will be an attack planned in advance.
And as we have seen over the last few years, a dictator can launch a war even if he knows that he will suffer defeat on the battlefield. Immediate military victory may not even be the goal.
Remember in "Nineteen Eighty-Four" how the regime keeps the proles all worked up with propaganda over various conflicts that may or may not be real, but function to destroy surplus and provide an "other" to hate?

Russia and China have alliance treaties with North Korea. They are supposed to come to North Korea's aid in case they are attacked. If North Korea initiates the attack, that is a different situation.
Most memory comes from South Korean companies, but a lot of their capacity is in China, not just in South Korea.
People need to understand. If NorKo will attack, it means either China, or Russia, or both decided to expend it. In such case, Kim will be offered a lifelong supply of cheese and wine, with a comfy retirement in Beijing.
So far, we can see Kim is being used to up the temperature, and keep US on the edge, and guessing, this limiting how much US can pull from Asian theatre to Europe.
The rumour I really want to dig in is that Washington has told Seoul that it will renege on the defence treaty, were the SK to pursue either retaliation for NK arms shipments, and after, the same threat, if SK were to start a nuclear weapon program of its own.
The later was allegedly during the time when Austin was flown to Seoul with "US will use nuclear weapon to defend South Korea" message.
