Collaboration Tools are the Future

The ability of semis of all types to create companies and tools for physical and intellectual collaboration will be the next frontier for semis and the semi ecosystem. Remote contract labs, consulting and production will be the future and semis of all types will play the key role by shrinking not only physical boundaries, but language and cultural barriers. Being able to get the best resources from around the world and bring them together to face the numerous challenges before us, will be our greatest challenge and opportunities. Never have resources been so close to our fingertips. From to cutting edge information, to talent of all types to applications like 3D printing and testing over the wire. The ability of the semi world to make this happen is at our fingertips, all we need now is the foresight and will to make it happen. The ability to do this is getting better every day and SemiWiki is just one pioneering example of making this a reality. Collaboration of all types is the most valuable resource of all and our ability to build and nurture it in all forms has never been greater and is improving all the time. Moving the world away from conflict and towards collaboration should be one's goal from an individual, organization and national levels, otherwise we will have no future in this increasingly complex world with more powers of both construction and destruction every day. Collaboration and cooperation are the keys to moving forward and I hope the leaders of governments and organizations take note of this tremendous opportunity the semi world has given us the tools to create a better more prosperous world for everyone. The semi world itself is the ideal example of this by bringing materials, knowledge and equipment from all over the world to give us and ecosystem of unlimited reach to the potential, but not the certainty to deal with the challenges before us.
