I need to get some opinions from you financial folks. Remember, they are only offering 10% of the company and some of Arm's big customers/partners will buy up stock for influence sake: Intel, TSMC, Apple, Nvidia, QCOM, Samsung, MediaTek, etc... Not really a level playing field for us common folk. Could this be a pump and dump candidate?

Long term prognosis I'm not so sure, and I guess it will all depend on the launch price vs the following few days. I get the feeling there is a lot of hype to get the launch price up.
What I was trying to say Paul, was over the longer term I see too much competition (& little innovation) for ARM shares to grow significantly in value. The price paid for the shares in the lead-up to open trading has one value, and is quite often lower by the end of the first day/week. At the moment there are lots of press reports (origin probably from the brokers handling the sale) that the share price will be wonderfully high, followed by the share price will not quite so high. Whilst betting on horses you either win, or loose all, you probably won't loose all here, but you're unlikely to be a winner 1 week later, or indeed 5 yrs later.
