OpenAI Releases Open Weight Models - Day 0 Support From all Leading System-Level AI Chip Suppliers

This was big news yesterday. Open models from OpenAI (open weights at least), but more interestingly, optimized support from all 4 of the leading AI system-level chip suppliers.

Introducing gpt-oss

gpt-oss-120b and gpt-oss-20b push the frontier of open-weight reasoning models

The most interesting thing for this crowd:

On the hardware side, we worked with industry leaders including NVIDIA, AMD, Cerebras, and Groq to ensure optimized performance across a range of systems.

Plus the matching news from the silicon side.
