When will AI/ML dominate medical diagnostics?

AI/ML combined with advanced testing procedures and imaging presents an ideal opportunity to lower costs and greatly decrease the manpower needed in this area. The big question is what actions will the medical lobby take in the US to protect its turf that has high costs and low quality compared to the advanced countries around the globe? This and robotic procedures present a great opportunity to improve health care and reduce costs at the same time. Will this be the next large growth market for US tech or a demonstration of the power of the medical lobby to protect high costs and low quality?
