Wearabel EKG

This is just the tip of a very large market for a variety of semis. This is but one way of lowering our staggering and crippling medical costs that are the largest threat to this country(the Pentagon has ruled debt is our number one threat and medical is the largest part of that). In the near future I see wearables that can monitor almost every function including how much we really need to eat. This will also become key for athletes as it will monitor blood oxygen levels and determine the best performance/time equation needed to win at events or games. This will also be tied into to AI through our smart phones and give far better diagnostics than even the best doctor when combined with using the imaging from the phone. Already AI is better at diagnosing some conditions better than the best doctors. This will be a large and important market for an entire array of semis.

"World's smallest EKG" makes for a healthier smartwatch

Hi,

As far as I know for know EKG in smartwatch is more a toy rather than a measuring device. Please find below some informations about our newly developend IC dedicated to wearable devices and telemedicine. The IC was developed under Polish national grant and spin-off called ChipCraft Sp. z o.o. was established as a company responsible for commercialization. For now we are looking for funding to prepare a final product.

ChipCraft - SoC & ASIC for GNSS, Telemedicine, uP cores
Biomedical SoC for Telehealth wearables
Microcontroller IP library

Please find below also some papers reporting progress of our work:

kmarcine, the mobile health and home health monitoring devices are advancing at a tremendous and accelerating rate, powered and promoted by Samsung, Apple and many others. The smart phone will be the foundation for it will handle any complex computing and communications with the cloud for interpretation. This will dramatically hold down cost for all the actual device will do in the actual monitoring or sampling, thus dramatically lowering the cost over a totally independent device. We will soon see a virtual flood of devices, driven by literally insane and irrational pricing of medical in the US. The next wave will be devices that actually control or mitigate medical conditions. This will become the next major market for semis and semi technology. Much of this technology will have multiple uses totally outside of medical, but medical uses will be the main driver.
