Warren Buffett on TSMC: There's nobody in their league in the chip business

Worth a listen. He did not say what changed his mind though but it was all about location. He felt safer with investments in Japan than Taiwan.

TSMC:

"One of the best managed companies and important companies in the world and you can say the same thing 5-10-20 years from now"

"I don't like its location and I reevaluated that, any place but Taiwan"

"There is nobody in the chip industry that's in their league"

"Played bridge with Morris Change"

"Marvelous people, marvelous company but he would rather find it in the United States"

You can’t find anything like TSMC anywhere else, nevermind the U.S. I wonder when people will understand that a conflict between China and the U.S and inevitably regional allies will destroy everyone’s portfolios whether they have TSMC in there or not lol. Derisking that is an absurd concept
