U. S. Sanctions on Huawei to ease?

According to Bloomberg, The U.S. Commerce Department has decided to come up with some so-called new “standards” which would allow even restricted companies to access U.S.-made technologies. However, there’s a direct catch, that these companies must have to obey what these standards decided by the commerce department.

As the Bloomberg article you quoted:

I think this original Bloomberg article has a narrow scope about US Commerce Department's policy towards US companies' participation in setting international standards.

Anything more than that is more or less a speculation or exaggeration.

The US government should not be shy from pushing regime change in China to get rid of CCP. A democratic China is the best outcome for everyone. How to get there from here without a nuclear war? I don't know.
