HSINCHU, Taiwan, R.O.C. – Sep. 10, 2024 - TSMC (TWSE: 2330, NYSE: TSM) today announced its net revenue for August 2024: On a consolidated basis, revenue for August 2024 was approximately NT$250.87 billion, a decrease of 2.4 percent from July 2024 and an increase of 33.0 percent from August 2023. Revenue for January through August 2024 totaled NT$1,773.97 billion, an increase of 30.8 percent compared to the same period in 2023.

Exports in August were US$43.64 billion, a record high in a single month, an increase of 9.3% from the previous month and an increase of 16.8% from the same month last year (an increase of 20.3% in New Taiwan dollars); the cumulative exports from January to August were US$308.57 billion. , an increase of 10.9% compared with the same period last year (an increase of 15.5% in New Taiwan dollars).
Shipments to the U.S. rising about 79% to an all-time high of $11.89B, surpassing the previous record for shipments to Taiwan's largest trading partner China and underscoring the major shift in Asian supply chains. Taiwan's exports to China edged up 1% Y/Y to $13.11B in August, compared to July's 13.5% decline.
I'm guessing TSMC will easily beat guidance for Q3? If you think 2024 is good, wait until 2025 when TSMC N3 is in HVM for all customers. It is going to be a record breaker!
