Smart Phones ARE the Interface to the World

The example below of using smart phones to detect cancer are but one example of the smart phone becoming our gateway to the world. When integrated with the cloud it will literally become part of our identity in our work, entertainment, medical monitoring and for personalizing the world around us as we move about. It is at the point already where the smart phone is already a key part of many peoples lives. With vastly increased memory, processing power, communications speed, better and more sensors and increased integration into the cloud the smart phone will also require careful management for it will also have the power to do as much harm as good. Security together with system management will become even more critical than they are now. The smart phone is literally becoming the most powerful tool we have ever touched and will require knowledge and wisdom as such. The smart phone will plug into everything from our car to house to body interfaces and much, much more either wirelessly or physical plug. I would prefer NFC for most connections, security and ease of use. To see where smart interfaces go, the smart phone in a misnomer even now, will be an interesting, powerful path that must be handled with care because of the power it bestows on the user or abuser.
