This new type of silver zinc battery with up to ten times the capacity of lithium batteries can be flexible and printed in shapes that allow many uses in electronic devices where space is at a premium. Since it is flexible, a device can be designed around the electronics, instead of around the battery. This new design shows promise to open up entire new areas for the semiconductor and other devices. Any thoughts on opportunities this could open up would be appreciated, thanks.
A flexible screen-printed rechargeable battery with up to 10 times more power than state of the art
A team of researchers has developed a flexible, rechargeable silver oxide-zinc battery with a five to 10 times greater areal energy density than state of the art. The battery also is easier to manufacture; while most flexible batteries need to be manufactured in sterile conditions, under vacuum, thi
