Power Consumption of Semiconductors and Memory Controller - Secondary or increasingly in focus

In 2022, the EU's Green Deal aims to reconcile environmental, energy and economic policies and to protect the environment and climate in all three areas. At the same time, however, part of the EU's industrial policy is to promote and expand chip and semiconductor technology within the EU.

Do you think that this combination will bring the power consumption of Semiconductors and Memory Controllers more into focus, or will it remain secondary? Do you think there might even be new EU regulations for this? Or do you think that the power comsumption in those technologies is already so small, that it won't be in focus?
