Recently, I had the privilege of climbing Yosemite’s Half Dome in honor of my dear friend and mentor, Bryce Jessup. Bryce was a true inspiration, scaling Half Dome to mark his 70th and 80th birthdays, and he had planned to tackle it again for his 90th. Sadly, he passed away before he could complete this milestone. To celebrate his heavenly birthday, I, along with Bryce’s son and my own sons, made the climb in support of Bryce’s legacy, as well as the Bryce and Jo Jessup Legacy Scholarship Fund.

Having a mentor, especially one who becomes a close friend, is invaluable. Bryce, like other mentors I've had, significantly shaped my career and personal journey. I’m grateful to have honored his life through this hike and will continue to strive to live up to the example he set for us all.

Is Bryce Jessup, the person Pat Gelsinger mentioned, is the same person mentioned in the following article?
