The Siemens acquisition of Mentor is now complete! I will go through the website this weekend. So far it looks great. Let me know your thoughts on the website and acquisition. As I said before, this acquisition is one for the EDA record books, absolutely. Congrats to Wally Rhines and his team, job well done.
Denali was an acquisition not a merger. I was at Virage Logic at the time and we were quite happy with it. And if you look at the price Synopsys paid for Virage I believe it was the same that Cadence paid for Denali. Win-Win.
Mentor Graphics is now Siemens EDA and let me tell you they are a fierce competitor making acquisition after acquisition. I just wish that they broke out EDA earnings because you would be surprised at the growth. I would bet it would be higher then Synopsys or Cadence. The Siemens channel is just so much larger.
