List of Most Intelligent Countries

Arthur Hanson

Well-known member

An interesting list when it comes to technology
These lists provide many talking points here in Singapore , we are always up in the top 2 or 3 in these surveys.
Alas almost every single Multi-National Company here have foreign talent in the senior positions.
Every company that come here , announce they are coming for the highly educated workforce , then proceed bypass locals for all senior posiitions.

First, it's very likely such surveys are biased towards computer companies, it's not likely they surveyed every kampung mom and pop shop around, and the same for the rest of Asia.

To be honest the powers that be could do with some "kampung time" , reconnect with the ground!!!

To cite from Wikipedia: "Other psychometricians have argued that, whether or not there is such a thing as a general intelligence factor, performance on tests relies crucially on knowledge acquired through prior exposure to the types of tasks that such tests contain. This means that comparisons of test scores between persons with widely different life experiences and cognitive habits do not reveal their relative innate potentials."
IQ comparisons between countries are meaningless because of the different experiences of the populations. At best it gives a hint about the quality of the educational system.
