Looks like a hint for Intel future spin off Intel Foundry.
Agreed. Spin off / IPO fully controlled by Intel. Could work but I would suggest getting an FPGA hardened CEO preferably from Xilinx.

Yeah, that would great for the FPGA group. But in so many companies, loyalty is more important than capability for leadership appointments.
