Assuming this is the end for Intel in the low end (mobile/tablet), it shows all the characteristics of the Innovator's Dilemma: Disruptive innovators gain a foothold and then move upmarket, while the incumbent retreats to where they can still obtain the margins they require.
Leads to a question--how do all these new ARM-ecosystem companies survive on such thin margins? Apart from Apple, I mean.
