How did semiconductors and memory technology help fight Covid19?

As the Corona Pandemic enters its third and hopefully last year, I think it's time to draw a conclusion from the semiconductor industry's perspective:

Many, if not all of us working in a home office environment require stable internet connection and secure mobile communication platforms for data and voice transmissions. One should also be reminded that the bandwidths we experience today have not been available for a long time. Imagine how our daily lives would have transpired had the pandemic occurred at the turn of the century. There would have been no stable internet connection, small bandwidths, no video conferences and even telephone conferences would have been a mess. And therefore also no easy opportunities to work from the homeoffice and protect ourselves and others

Also the most important sector for fighting Covid 19, the health care sector, has always and continues to have a demand for reliable data storage. Resources and efficient care is key to minimizing the health impacts that arise in conjunction with COVID-19. While respiratory equipment is especially valuable amidst this pandemic, radiology equipment, CT and ultrasonic scanners as well as blood testing machines are also playing a pivotal role in mitigating the virus.

So the overall question is here: How did semiconductors and memory technology helped fight Covid19?
