This month, the PQC Coalition (PQCC) celebrates its one-year anniversary, and in a timely move, has published an important comparison of the PQC Standards being defined by international government regulatory bodies.
As a founding member of the coalition, PQShield has been integral to the effort to bring together technologists, researchers, and experts in post-quantum cryptography, ready to help build awareness, and drive adoption of quantum-safe security in the decades ahead.
Following on from the recently published NIST standards, this report includes a current reference of international PQC requirements, as well as areas of alignment and misalignment – a crucial study for vendor compliance and interoperability. It covers topics such as the use of quantum-resistant KEMs, digital signature algorithms, PQ hybrid key exchange, hybrid signatures, and hash functions – analyzing the different approaches taken by organizations around the world.
With a focus on standards, education, implementation and agility, the PQC Coalition is another excellent example of collaboration between leaders in the field, and our goal as part of the PQCC is to continue driving the conversation – helping the world prepare effectively for, and navigate safely through the post-quantum transition.
