CNN coverage of TSMC (interview with Lora Ho)

Fred Chen

Moderator
Today on CNN 10, Will Ripley gives us a look inside the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, the world's largest producer of microchips that power everything from smartphones to cars to artificial intelligence applications.

(only the first 5 minutes, the rest is about an interesting baseball team)

Main focus was on expansion especially in Arizona, noted as the most challenging, due to regulations and cultural differences.

Fun fact: TSMC engineers have to go in to bring the equipment up after an earthquake! Regardless of time of night or day.

The intro guy said TMSC? 😂 He had one job! Overall a bad report. Clearly they have no idea what they are talking about.

I have been in Taiwan for earthquakes and typhoons, yes TSMC works through these which is why they are the trusted foundry.
