Tel Aviv, Israel, September 24, 2020 - The ChipEx2020 Digital conference, which took place, last Wednesday in the cyberspace, brought together the Israeli semiconductor industry for the first time, in a digital format. In light of the global COVID 19 crisis, the conference allowed all semiconductor industrialists to actively participate in the conference, without leaving their homes or offices, through a unique platform tailored to the needs of industry in Israel.

ChipEx2020 Digital was attended by about 750 people, who enjoyed fascinating lectures by industry experts from around the world, 1X1 meetings between visitors and exhibitors, as well as visits to the exhibitors' virtual booths.

The virtual booths at ChipEx2020 Digital were of great interest to visitors, who made about 3,500 visits to the 50 conference booths. Visitors to the booths were given the opportunity to learn about the latest products and innovations from the best suppliers and service providers in the industry, including TSMC, Samsung, ASE, Mentor (a Siemens Business) Cadence, ARM, CEVA, Global Foundries, IMEC, GUC, KLA, Secure-IC, Silvaco, OneSpin, Vidatronic, Fractal and lots of others.

Many of the ChipEx2020 exhibitors expressed their satisfaction with the interest shown by industry professionals, who attended the technical lectures, participated in the Q&A sessions, toured the virtual booths and even held virtual meetings via video calls.

More than 670 live chats were initiated by either the exhibitors or the visitors; only 5 were rejected by the other party.

Dov Moran, founder and CEO of M Systems and one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the Israeli chip industry, who currently serves as the managing partner of Grove Ventures fund, chaired the conference session on "5G Design Challenges and Other Advanced Applications" expressed his satisfaction with the conference and congratulated the organizers for an excellent conference.

Sol Gradman, co-chair of ChipEx2020 Digital said: “Organizing a virtual conference required a lot of effort from us, including finding a suitable platform, preparing lectures for live broadcasts on the day of the conference and opening a live studio that accompanied the conference, bringing live news and updates throughout the entire conference. Virtual conferences are a new experience for all of us, and I thank all the visitors, exhibitors, sponsors and lecturers who put their trust in us. I am happy and proud of the success of the conference and overwhelmed with the many positive responses we received. "

In order to allow the conference participants to enjoy the lectures that they have not yet had time to watch during the conference, the ChipEx2020 organizers decided to keep the conference platform open until the end of December 2020. This will allow every participant to enter the platform at any time and watch lectures on the VOD (Video On Demand) system.

Great Conference!
The platform worked seamlessly - excellent video and audio quality.
The live studio broadcast added a lot a value and time management was very good.
And above all - high quality of the keynotes, lectures, panels and booths.

Sol and the ChipEx2020 Digital team - you have set a high bar for future virtual conferences!
