China invading Taiwan to Costly, Even for China

Arthur Hanson

TSM and its ecosystem of support companies is impossible to do economically, politically and financially. The above reasons are just the tip of the iceberg. An invasion of Taiwan would be so costly to the Chinese and the world it borders on the damage a nuclear war would do. Being a large holder of TSM and other tech stocks, I have found this option out of the question for all parties. If China did invade the damage to all sectors of the world economy would be in severe danger and every country would be in economic, military danger even if not involved. As an investor, I have ruled this a very distant possibility and no economy or investing strategy even totally outside the war zone would escape suffering mightily on a scale considered unimaginable. Cooperation and collaboration would be far better and the rewards for all sides could propel the world economy into a most profitable time in history with AI/ML/automation coming into play and research in everything put on steroids that has the potential to advance all mankind into a whole new era of prosperity.
